Fighting HIV/AIDS & other Diseases: Health and HIV/AIDS Programmes
Tem Foundation’s Health and HIV/AIDS initiative is helping to improve on the HIV/AIDS pandemic and other diseases by working with public, private institutions and other NGO`s around the world to increase the awareness campaign on the preventive measures on HIV/AIDS and other diseases. The Foundation advocates the availability of high-quality care and treatment for people with HIV/AIDS and other diseases, lower the costs of essential tests and treatments, and strengthen health systems in the rural communities. In areas where Tem Foundation operates, The Foundation provides food, care, counseling and hope to those living with HIV/AIDS. It carries out preventive
measures and awareness campaigns to various age groups.
Empowering the Have-nots and the Vulnerable: Education and Training
Tem Foundation aims to eradicate illiteracy, provide and develop training facilities in the rural communities for the poor and the vulnerable, build academic and training facilities, embark on massive reading and writing campaign for African children. The Foundation intends to provide a proper and secure education and training environment to make sure, no Africa child studies under a tree or carries a gun. Tem Foundation will partner with governments, international Organizations and other NGO`s to provide every child soldier in Africa with a pen and every learner in Africa with a computer and the necessary infrastructure for Education and Training.
Humanitarian and rehabilitation
Tem Foundation caters for orphans and abandoned children under the name “our children”. The children are provided with shelter, clothing, food, love, security, education and parental care. The Foundation rehabilitates abused women, children and persons suffering from drugs and substance abuse. We try to provide moral, material and financial assistance to countries hit by natural disaster or suffering from famine and starvation. Our humanitarian programme is guided under the principal of togetherness and concern to every child and people of the world.
Agriculture and Food Production: Food Security for all
While Africa is rich in soil fertility, its children still suffer from hunger and starvation. Tem Foundation seeks to eradicate food insufficiency by its “Food for all programme.” This among others will have to do with;
Provide food aid to regions suffering from famine and starvation.
Support and encourage the small farmers’ scheme project
Train and educate small and rural farmers on various agricultural methods
Established agricultural institutions/Centres for emerging farmers.
Equip farmers with agricultural tools.
Access financial funding and loans to small and rural farmers.
Partner with governments to build farm to market roads
Find markets for their products.
Create cooperatives among community members for financial empowerment.
